Several common questions from businesses about composing are covered in this infographic:

Question: How long should my tweets be?

Answer: Write tweets that are between 120 and 130 characters long. Tweets longer than 80 characters, as well as tweets shorter than 40 characters also so some decent response, however try and hit that sweet spot from 120-130 characters.

Question: Where should I place my links in a tweet?

Answer: The best place to put your links within a tweet is about 25% of the way through. This positioning shows the highest click through rate (CTR).

Question: How often should I tweet tweets with links?

Answer: It was shown that the more links that were tweeted per hour, the lower the CTR was. The highest CTR was achieved when only one link per hour was tweeted.

Other pointers:

Try and include words such as “via”, “@”, “RT”, “please” and “check”, as these words/symbols have shown to improve the CTR on tweets.
