New Instagram Profile Pages

By on November 6, 2012

Instagram is rolling out ‘profile pages’ for its users. With a similar look to Facebook Timeline, the new web profile pages will feature a rotating array for photos on the across the top, and clicking any of these images will open that photo to full sized view. Users can like and comment on these photos, just as they can on facebook. Users can also find and follow other users from their web profile pages.

Upon scrolling further down the page, users are presented photos in chronological order. Just as the photos in the top section, they can be clicked to bring them to full size view.

Each new month has a new heading, so you will be able to follow the timeline as you scroll down. Each photo displays a tally of the number of likes and number of comments it has received. If you reach the bottom of a section, just click the “Load More” button.

Users will also have their own URL, making their profiles easily shareable with friends and family.

What do you think? Let us know how you feel about the new Instagram profiles.
